There is no reason to let diabetes hold you back from seeing the world

When it comes to travelling with diabetes—whether you are taking a road trip across Canada, flying to a sunny southern destination or going on an African safari, the best advice you can follow comes courtesy of the Boy Scouts: Be Prepared.
There are, of course, many factors to consider: managing your blood sugar when crossing time zones, ensuring you have enough medical insurance, packing plenty of diabetes supplies to see you through your vacation, following airport security regulations when getting your medications through customs, and being prepared to treat an emergency situation.
But the single most important factor in ensuring you have a great trip is to plan ahead.
